For my Capstone Project, I was given full creative freedom to create a large final project incorporating all of the skills learned over the course of 2 years in the Humber Media Communications program. I decided to do a brand campaign for the company Lush Cosmetics. Lush is known around the world for their bath and shower products, but many people just shop for the products and don’t understand the message behind the brand and that’s exactly what I did my Capstone Project on.
There were multiple elements to this project, one of them being a page created and coded in Adobe Dreamweaver. I used the photos I took with professional studio lighting, as well as the coding knowledge I learned and incorporated it all into one web page. As of right now, Lush Cosmetics only has information about their products on their website. I initially was going to shoot a video commercial but decided against it considering I am much stronger in coding than videography. This page gives simple information about Lush, the cruelty-free and eco-friendly brand message and a short rundown of their products. This page is something I believe Lush could add to their website in the future to educate people not just about their products, but who they are as a company and what that could hold for the future of other beauty companies.
